Gardens Everywhere

Because food should grow wherever people live.
A person dressed in warm clothing and a knit toque, leaning down with a pitchfork in a garden bed full of dead plant stems. There are several garden beds in the background, some dead, some green and leafy, and a dividing border at the back, lawn on the other side and a wall or fence on the side. The words "Gardens Everywhere. Because food should grow where people live" superimposed over the image in the bottom left corner.

Gardens Everywhere is about increasing food access by increasing opportunities to grow — together.

This project supports:

  • backyard and front-yard food gardens
  • shared or informal growing spaces
  • seed and seedling sharing
  • practical, real-world gardening knowledge

We focus on participation, not perfection.

Gardens Everywhere recognizes that:

  • not everyone has land
  • not everyone has experience
  • everyone deserves access to fresh food
